Hello!
My name is Natalie Halpern! I’m a Florida native born and raised in Altamonte Springs. I’m currently finishing up my BA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Scenic Painting from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.
I’ve loved theatre and the arts from a very young age. I remember seeing The Wizard of Oz at the Bob Carr Theatre and being awestruck by the tornado scene, wondering for years how they possibly could have achieved such a thing. It was from that moment on, I knew I had to pursue the arts. Over the years, I’ve ventured into music, performance, and other technical theatre fields, but it wasn’t until I started at Rollins that I found my place as a scenic painter. I love getting to take someone’s design and bring it to life for them with just my paint and my brushes. Outside of scenic painting, I’ve dabbled in stage management, directing, lighting design, and makeup design.
When I’m not painting, I spend much of my time catching up on films everyone tells me I have to see, walking my dog, playing cozy video games, or planning fun activities with friends and family. I’ve always had an affinity for the Peanuts, and now collect anything I can find with Snoopy on it!
